2022 PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Atlantic Packaging Paper Mill

(Whitby, ON)

This state-of-the-art paper mill will generate twice the amount of paper per day compared to its predecessors. Spark's work has included:

• 1.5 million+ feet of LV power, control, instrumentation, and fibre cables
• 23,000 feet of 15KV cables from substation to switchgear
• 60,000+ feet of cable tray
• 2,200+ electrical devices (e.g. MCC's, panels, transformers, splitters, disconnects, control boxes, control stations, lighting, and receptacles)
• 150,000+ terminations on-site
• 120,000 hours on-site
• 450 instrument installations (e.g. transmitter, elements, solenoid valves, and gauges)

Travers Solar Project 

(Vulcan County, AB)

Spark has been deeply involved in this 465MW solar project in Alberta. Our work has included:

• 4 full-time Spark technicians supported the owner with QC of construction activities
• Spark commissioned an impressive 17,059 trackers covering 3,300 acres
• Commissioned, maintained, and repaired 153 inverters throughout construction
• Technicians operated, maintained, and troubleshot the energized array during construction
• Supported the operation of the transmission tied substation
• Controlled all lock out tag out for the site, and all energizations for new systems

Austin Riley Takes Checkered Flag

Austin Riley continues to impress spectators and fellow racers in the Radical Cup North America season.

He won his class championship – Pro 1340 – and became the overall series champion!

Austin races under his team, Racing With Autism, and pushes the limit driving while also raising awareness about autism and empower those with autism to do great things.

Spark Power is incredibly proud to support Austin on his quest to win on and off the racetrack!
