As we transition into a new year, we are also embarking on a new transition within Spark Power.
I am thrilled to share that I have been appointed as the Company’s President & CEO. In this new role, I have the opportunity to continue to build this great organization while working alongside our new senior leadership team.

“A Perfect Day”
At Spark Power, safety is our top priority. This means zero compromises, zero shortcuts and zero excuses. We are continuing to build a culture that incorporates safety into all that we do. Our Director of Health, Safety, Quality and Environment, Matthew James, recently shared the concept of “A Perfect Day”, which is Spark’s new safety initiative and tracking system.
Renewable energy is crucial to the fight against climate change. Bullfrog Power, Spark Power’s sustainability division, enables Canadian businesses and homes to choose green energy and become part of the climate solution. In their new video, Bullfrog highlights the path to decarbonizing the economy through renewables, energy efficiency and electric vehicles.
The Bullfrog Buzz is our annual magazine that features the latest and most buzzworthy news about sustainability and Bullfrog Power. Inside, you’ll find out why now is the time for solar power to take off in Canada, how one of Bullfrog’s community projects is accelerating cleantech ventures, and how companies can start saving carbon and money with energy efficiency.
During the last quarter of 2020, our Belleville, Ontario technical services teams moved from their individual locations to a new office. This consolidated all teams in the region under one brand and one roof, to better serve our customers. In addition, our Barrie, Ontario service will be moving to a brand-new facility, with up-to-date technologies that will be implemented during the first quarter of 2021. These new offices and consolidations will ensure our efficiency and that we remain our customers' Trusted Partner in Power™.
Spark Power Campus
Our new head office, the "Spark Power Campus", will be customized from the ground up. Located in Oakville, Ontario, the facility is scheduled for completion in 2022 and will incorporate a state-of-the-art training center, as well as sustainability features that include solar panels on the roof, battery storage, electric vehicle charging stations, and a living wall. We can’t wait to move in!
Spark's first electric fleet vehicle
We're pleased to announce the arrival of Spark's first electric fleet vehicle. The 2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV arrived at our Vaughan, Ontario branch on December 21, 2020. The electric vehicle marks another step forward in Spark's ongoing commitment to building a stronger and more sustainable future, as part of the Company's Spark100 program.

Through Spark Power Renewables, we are excited to announce a new solar power offering for our customers, in partnership with Envision Digital and Heliolytics. This means that solar asset owners can experience more seamless operations and maintenance (O&M) services, from analysis to monitoring, management,and predictive maintenance.

Nutrien, one of the world’s largest crop inputs and service providers, contracted Spark Power to plan and design high voltage cable tray infrastructure for the replacement of existing underground 15KV cables, as part of the Highline Phase 1.
