This past year, Spark Power’s U.S. technical services team, with eight American branches, has continued to develop and provide even more great services across the communities in which we currently operate. In Texas — home to our U.S. Corporate head office — we have established full-service branches in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio. These provide local and customized solutions to each of our customers. We are also continuing to meet the emergency power demands created by extreme weather conditions throughout the southern U.S. and beyond. In California, we recently announced that, along with other electrical services, we are now offering solar solutions to new and existing customers.
Moving into the latter quarter of the year and 2022, our organization is looking forward to continued opportunities for U.S. growth, with a key focus on our renewables, industrial, and commercial markets.
In this issue of Off the Wire, you can read about innovative, company-wide work we’re doing and how we can help to optimize your facility.

SAFETY MOMENT
At Spark Power, we are committed to the safety of our employees and customers and operate using an “Only Zero is Acceptable” policy. Today, we are sharing the importance of Flame Resistant (FR) Clothing. FR clothing protects the wearer by:
Self-extinguishing or resisting ignition
Does not melt onto skin
Provides thermal insulation from heat
Resists breaking open and exposing skin
Reduces burn injury and increases chance of survival
IHI Terrasun Solutions, a leading energy storage systems and lifecycle services provider, contracted Spark Power to design and build their Southern Ontario battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolio. This complex project and BESS portfolio have the potential to save each facility considerable costs and savings over the project's lifetime.
Popular Toronto butcher shop – Sanagan’s Meat Locker – is bullfrogpowered
Peter Sanagan, the owner of Sanagan’s Meat Locker, is passionate about environmentally sound business. In addition to choosing green electricity and green natural gas through Spark Power’s sustainability division, Bullfrog Power, he champions high-quality local products and energy efficiency at both of his Toronto-based shops.
“No matter what size of business it is, I believe we still have a responsibility to our community and customers to approach any decisions with sustainability in mind,” Peter told Bullfrog Power.
Spark provides Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
By optimizing your BESS projects, Spark can enhance your power systems and shift power loads off-the-grid during periods of peak demand. This will not only increase your cost savings but also reduce your facility’s carbon footprint. We offer complete design, implementation, operations and maintenance, and emergency support.
