SAFETY MOMENT
Safety is our #1 priority.
At Spark Power, we take safety seriously. As we continue to navigate our way through COVID-19, it is important to remember that we are still in the midst of a worldwide pandemic. Reopenings are happening at different paces around the world. It is critical to understand and adhere to the safety guidelines applicable to your community.
As a business that provides essential services, we have been supporting our customers since the beginning of the pandemic – ensuring that we follow all guidelines in the jurisdictions in which we work to keep our employees, customers, and their families safe. GO GREEN!
Bullfrog Power signs PPA to help bring a utility-scale solar project online!
Bullfrog Power, a Spark Power company, launched our power purchase agreement (PPA) offering last year, and we believe in the value of these agreements so strongly that we signed one ourselves. We are delighted to be supporting the upcoming Burdett and Yellow Lake Solar Projects alongside RBC. With a combined capacity of 39 MW, these projects will be built southwest of Medicine Hat.
Spark Power has expanded into Abilene, Texas with our Renewables business.
This is a major milestone for our Renewables team, providing Wind and Solar Operations and Maintenance services in this region.
Abilene is home to a very large installed capacity of wind turbines, and within the next 5 years, there are several giga-watts of solar installations planned. We are excited to be a part of this community!

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
Project: The Link
Our teams are currently on-site working on this large-scale retirement residence being built in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We are working on the installation of electrical pipe runs in the parkade and main floor common areas. Once completed, we will shift our efforts to the outside parking area, which will include the installation of the underground main building cables, IPLC car receptacles and more!
Case Study: EV Infrastructure
Spark Power was engaged to perform electrical infrastructure installation for a new production line, during a very short shutdown, for a large manufacturer based in California.
Conestoga Meats required a multi-disciplined electrical services provider to support their critical plant addition. As their Trusted Partner in Power™, Spark Power successfully delivered key components including installation, systems integration, and implementation of turnkey solutions.
At Spark, we pride ourselves on giving back to the communities in which we work and serve. Throughout 2020, Spark Power continued to support our corporate charitable partnerships:
We also developed new and innovative ways to further support our communities during COVID-19. For example, our employees volunteered their time and we utilized our fleet to deliver emergency food care package for FoodShare Toronto.
This summer, we continue to support other employee initiatives from across North America, including Founder’s Ride: Bike to the Beach in Western Canada and Camp Engies in the East.
We are proud of our employees' passion to participate in a variety of community initiatives.
